I noticed she was jumpy-etc-I mentioned that-what I didn't know was Gloria had her head out the window and Kristy was afraid to leave me alone-they were worried about me riding Sadie ( worried about me riding Sadie-that's ridiculous in my mind-the only thing that worries me is she fell once in the outdoor so I'm careful there not to canter too much. I don't let her jump anymore because of her tendon which is healed, I'm just not taking any chances with a horse I love. Her tendon is healed but if she runs and jumps on her own it gets warm. so I'm careful)
She is a lot of horse and doesn't handle being kept in at all. we leave her out 24/7 but in really bad weather, we don't have a choice. She's in a sheet now, but will be back in a blanket by the end of the week, the weather goes up and down. Paul said they leave her and Pop out until they have no choice-Pop's old but Sadie--let me put it this way-everyone is a bit careful around her. She doesn't kick or buck or anything like that-she just has a reputation built up about her ground manners with others?
Funny, I don't see it in her, even when she's been in. She eats inside and stares at me and I have no trouble with her when I put her out. In fact she is much easier for me to ride and handle then Pop ever was and is. Pop still tries to break away-good thing she can't run anymore-Sadie stays with me and doesn't try anything. I guess you can call that a lot of trust on Sadie's part and a large bond between us.
