I&#39;ve worked with Sadie for three and a half years.  I went to full chaps to keep her from twitching in a spook and dumping me.  I&#39;ve spent the last

My horse and I enjoy working together both on the ground and undersaddle (or bareback pad lol). I use treats as rewards for when he has done what I asked, and
usually he is very motivated by this method of reward. But for the past few weeks he has just simply lost interest. He doesnt seem to be all that focused on
me, and he has taken up the habit of nipping me for treats. He still wants the treats, but he is not willing to work for them like he used to be. Im kind of... ]]></description>

Anyway, I still have my Appaloosa mare Sugar, she is 8 now. She has developed a Sarcoid (ugh) and my vet is treating it with Xxterra. Anyone ever use this
before on a horses&#39; belly? I am kind of worried about how swollen it is getting. The first day it only swole on the area he put the stuff. This morning it

			<description><![CDATA[ I know that cold nights and warm days contributes to the risk of grass founder.  What designates &quot;cold&quot; and &quot;warm&quot;?  Does anyone know what
the temperature variation is (20 degree different between night and day, etc?) that puts the higher sugar content in the grass?  We are dry-lotting the horses
this year, but there are eight of them, so they get a little antsy being in a small space.  I would love to have a specific temperature range to know when to

			<description><![CDATA[ i have an appendix quarter horse with more whoa than go. hes sweet and kind and for the first 20 minutes in the ring hes fine. he has a habit of just stopping
as we are trotting around and just plain refuses to move. ive tried spurs, which he doesnt like, and all he does is kick out when i use them. after 20 minutes
i can barely get him to walk on. the tack is fine he just shuts down . any suggestions on what to do? im totally frustated and when i feel like im getting

			<description><![CDATA[ Does Lea ever post here anymore? I wonder if she moved her horse out. She&#39;s down in Santa Fe which is between Galveston and Houston.  My daughter and
grandaughter are here, they live in that area as well. Her husband will come later after he helps his father get his things set.  I&#39;m also getting a nephew
and his roomate from A&amp;M are suppose to come here as well. Glad I still have a big house. I just hope we get a few inches of rain here. We need it so bad.

			<description><![CDATA[ The place where I boarded with Ree.  I haven&#39;t talked with her in a few months (since I went back to work in May) and she has a contract to sell her farm. 
They are going to rent there for a while, until they get their herd liquidated, and find a place to live.  She is seriously thinking about giving up owning a
farm completely, and just keeping one mount per person and boarding somewhere.  I am very sad abotu this.  She wanted me to take one of her babies, but I have

			<description><![CDATA[ I have to get Tri-Hist into Sadie for her skin allergies.  She also has small amts of non colored mucous every now and then.  So Apex said just keep her on
Tri-Hist once per day.  When I go away, Gloria just mixes it with her grain along with MSM, Bl-solution, and joint coat and hoof combo.  I think the latter is
no longer needed so I&#39;m done with that.  But the Tri-Hist stays.   Sadie eats everything.  When I come back, Sadie turns into a snotberger and refuses the

			<description><![CDATA[ I went out three weeks ago to visit the horses (my son just turned 5 months, so I haven&#39;t been out there much, but joyce feeds them every day). Tony was a
little lame on his front right leg.  I was going to move him to the other pasture (three fields away) and put him in the barn, but I didn&#39;t want to walk

			<title><![CDATA[ Several folks at Peachtree are impressed with me as a trainer? ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ A lot of people have come up to me and told me they wish they could work as well with their horse as I have with Sadie.  Today was a real compliment!  A man
who has been around horses for years watched Sadie and me come in from a ride.  I dismounted and turned toward the barn, Sadie&#39;s reins were off the ground
and around her back, I didn&#39;t hold them, I never do, and she followed me.  When I stopped she stopped, in fact there were two horses being led past us.  I

			<description><![CDATA[ Reese is getting so big, 13 mos already!  She is talking up a storm (her pedi said she is ahead of the game on this, but still ZERO teeth!) and loves animals. 
Last week we went on a car ride to visit a friend&#39;s horse farm.  Reese loved the horses, but kept calling them &quot;dog-dogs!&quot;  It was so funny.  We
tried to get her to say horse or pony, but she insisted that they were dogs.  They musta been the biggest dogs she had ever seen in her life (and friends have

			<description><![CDATA[ I brought her in from the pasture and tacked her up.  When I tried to put the bit in her mouth she clenched her teeth and wouldn&#39;t open no matter what I
did.  This is a first for her-finally Gloria got her to open and I got her bit in her mouth ( it&#39;s the same french link she&#39;s been using for 2.5
years).  I took her into the indoor and after lunging for a minute or two got on her.  She stood perfectly still for the mount and then she refused to move

			<description><![CDATA[ I had come back to Peachtree to turn Sadie out for the night.  It looks like the storms are over, though there was some lightening.  I turned Sadie out and she
ran to the roundbale and ate there by herself?  Okay.  I had Pop in and turned her out and noticed that she had a big piece of dry skin like a bump under her
eye.  I cleaned out Sadie&#39;s stall, put Pop&#39;s left over hay in Sadie&#39;s stall, just in case.  And went outside and got Pop.  I cleaned the area under
